Security Analyst

As a Security Analyst you will be responsible for maintaining, implementing and improving the cyber security strategy and ensuring the company’s digital assets are protected against unauthorised access.

You will play a key role in the execution of the security compliance program, performing regular audits of systems and permissions, monitoring access, conducting security assessments and contributing to cyber incident response.

Assist in planning and implementing security controls and contribute to cyber security initiatives and projects such as Identity Access Management, Vulnerability Management and Privileged Identity Management.

**Key essentials**:

- Operational knowledge of Microsoft related products and essential security configurations.
- Operation of security log collection, monitoring, alerting, and response technologies
- Working knowledge of cloud security risks and mitigation approaches
- Fundamental exposure to cyber security principles.
- Basic understanding of network concepts, such as network ports, segmentation and firewalls.
- Basic understanding of the CIA triad, confidentiality, integrity and availability.
- Exposure to azure cloud
- Strong background in Microsoft desktop/server, active directory, security, and networking technologies.
- Experience working with security frameworks, standards, and controls. E.g. NIST and ACSC Essential Eight.
- Experience collecting logs, analysing data and creating reports.
- Exposure to developing policies, governance frameworks in information security.

Initial 6 Month Contract, with opportunity to extend or continue on permanently.

Hybrid Model in Melbourne CBD 2-3 days in office per week
- Must be Melbourne based
