**THE ROLE**
The P&C Consultant represents the frontline for P&C services and provides exceptional advice to leaders up to and including our Executive Leadership Team. The role supports end-to-end Case Management of matters relating to conduct, performance, grievances, and external claims, and provides first level coaching and support to Consultants/Advisors.
As part of Employee Services, this 12-month limited tenure role reports to the P&C Employee Services Lead and includes a mix of technical and customer service expertise, managing channels of service delivery, coordinating involvement in other functions to effectively deliver people services. You will:
- Provide consulting services to people leaders and employees within Origin regarding the interpretation and delivery of P&C Employee Experience policies, programs and processes.
- Lead high risk and complex investigations, performance management and misconduct matters requiring risk mitigation, problem solving and influencing skills
- Leverage the brains trust of your team in an agile environment to ensure the right processes and technologies are utilised in the delivery of our services
- Provide a point of escalation for the resolution of complex matters
- Coach Leaders and employees to build capability to effectively self-manage people practices.
- Provide exceptional advice in relation to HR enquiries, including; Fair Work Act and other Legislation, Enterprise Agreement, Modern Award or HR Policy assistance/interpretation, and advice on performance, conduct, attendance and grievance management
- Identify opportunities to increase HR capability in Leaders and employees through effective coaching and promotion of self-service channels
- Support the ongoing development and implementation of Employee Relations best practice, through projects and education of our leaders and team
- Be confident and proficient to support workplace investigations, building and maintaining skills to be increasingly independent
- Demonstrate exceptional stakeholder management skills, delivering timely and informative advice
**IS THIS YOU?**
The successful applicant will have a strong HR & ER Advisory background, particularly in Case Management and ideally as part of a Shared Services HR team.
The existing team prides itself on providing a consultative service to Origin's People Leaders, where we partner with the business to deliver the best possible outcomes. You'll demonstrate unparalleled communication and stakeholder management skills, strong commercial acumen, and an ability to make sound, evidence-based decisions in high pressure situations. You will also have, or be able to show:
- Demonstrated experience in coaching and developing people and ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Track record of working in a customer-focussed environment where the emphasis is on customer service and providing trusted and timely advice.
- Track record of delivering process improvement.
- Sound generalist HR and specialist Employee Relations experience.
- Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise in a timely and efficient manner.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, advanced interpersonal skills and demonstrated experience in influencing and coaching a wide range of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt to HR systems such as SuccessFactors and Service Now.
