About the role

We currently are looking for a passionate Transport Planner to join our team based at Bentley. The main purpose of the role is to plan and schedule customer orders from Bega’s 3PL network to customers in WA, VIC, SA and TAS. You will act as a liaison between transport companies, 3PL’s and the Customer Service team. The role will ensure that transport requirements for the business are met with a focus on maximising vehicle usage, minimising costs, customer service, and carrier performance.

Other responsibilities- Act as a liaison between transport companies, 3PL’s and the Customer Service team ensure delivery requirements are met.- Meet cost per tonne targets through improving truck utilisation and identifying order consolidation opportunities- Ensuring manufacturing sites are meeting truck utilisation and cost per tonne targets, by monitoring movements, reporting results and communicating to sites on opportunities.- Complete load planning using the Bega Transport Management System- Develop resource and service plans relating to peak period operations in conjunction with service providers.

About you- Experience in Logistics, Distribution and Supply Chain operations including knowledge of OH&S and CoR obligations- Experience working with Transport Management Systems and competent with MS Office, particularly Excel- High level of data accuracy and attention to detail- Relationship management skills with multiple stakeholders- Exceptional communication skills at all levels
