A position has become available for an experienced bookkeeper at our office located in Banyo Queensland.
As the Bookkeeper, you will be tasked with meaningful and important work for the financial security of the business. This position that will allow you to establish your future with our diversified business that has locations in Brisbane, Perth and regional Western Australia.
As part of the Commercial and Administration team you will be working alongside professionals who are dedicated to the growth and future of our business.
Reporting to the Financial Officer and off-site CPA qualified Accountant, you will be responsible for undertaking a wide variety of transactional processing, journal preparation and reporting functions including producing monthly management reports and financial statements
Regular duties would include;
- All aspects of accounts payable and receivable
- Monthly and annual budgets and forecasts
- Bank reconciliations
- Daily Cashflow
- General Ledger and Balance Sheet Reconciliation
- Assist with Payroll transactions
- Preparation of BAS and Payroll Tax
- Updating the Asset Written Down Value Report
- Preparation of Government Fuel Tax Rebate
- Preparation of Fringe Benefits Tax
- Daily data entry into Cheops and MYOB
- Assisting with Administrative Functions
- Spreadsheet Maintenance
- Month End / Year End Reporting
- Inventory transaction processing, reconciliation, stocktaking and reporting
- Asset register maintenance
- Sales analysis and reportin
- Adhoc support and backup for other Administration functions (reception coverage etc)
**About You**
To be considered for this role, you will need to have minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Sound computer skills in MS Office, particularly Excel, Word
- Excellent knowledge and experience using MYOB, CHEOPS would be an advantage, however is not a requirement as training can be provided.
- Excellent administrative, multi-tasking and organisational skills
- Strong time management skills
- Full function accounts payable
- Full function accounts receivable
- Excellent communicative skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to work under pressure.
- A proactive, positive approach to daily duties
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
- Ability to take various data files through to trial balance
- Ability to complete month end balance sheet reconciliations
