**Pacston Technology Group** - headquartered in Vancouver and Singapore - is working with a major global immigration law firm on the hunt for Science Writers to work remotely.

This position will be responsible for writing documents for immigration purposes. Experience in efficiently and accurately **summarizing complex information and/or scientific research** is very helpful. A background in academic or technical writing is highly desirable, and ability to incorporate feedback is valued.

You must possess a very strong familiarization of English writing and grammatical rules as well as strong attention to details to meet our projects' demands.

**What our writers do**

The primary duties of our writers are to draft and revise letters and documents on behalf of our clients. Writers also have to read and summarize scientific research on various topics (depending on the client you will be working with) and complete drafting letters and documents on a project-by-project basis (3-4 projects weekly).

**What is like to work with our clients**

Our clients are highly accomplished academic or technical professionals of various scientific disciplines of academic backgrounds. It is always cool to discover new things while doing research related to our clients’ professional fields, and you’ll work with a new client every couple of days.

**What to expect at actual work**

Writers will provide in total 30 to 40 hours weekly in order to meet project demands.

Our writers usually complete a document or multiple documents of in total 10-15 pages A4 at length on a 1- to 2-day deadline.

We provide a continuous flow of projects for our writers to focus on and thus **there is no dead period of projects** - Pacston writers will have no need to find extra freelancing jobs to make ends meet.

Training on drafting the specific legal documents we work on will be provided before writers start working on paid cases.

**What we offer**

Writers are paid on a weekly basis with a fixed rate. Depending on the number of projects they complete, they are compensated **A$750 to A$1,300** on a weekly basis.

**This is not a freelancing job and it is not paid on project-by-project basis. It is a long-term contractor role and weekly pay is set based on workload.**

**What we seek in our writers**

You must possess at least a **Bachelor's Degree** from schools where English is used as the primary and official language.

A degree from a Writing/English/Literature/Classics/Letter/Linguistics/Communication/Journalism/Liberal arts/Law/Social science major is highly preferred.

Experience in technical writing, academic writing, and/or legal writing is highly diserable.
