An exciting opportunity has become available for an energetic Village Manager to join our Retirement Living business, based at our stunning racecourse location, Bernborough Ascot.

Beautifully set facing Doomben racecourse, with easy access to Ascot’s local shops and services and Brisbane city’s entertainment precincts. This contemporary village is defined by its welcoming vibe, indulgent amenities and elegant living that creates a safe, social and supportive environment.

The Village Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the operations and management of the retirement village. They are responsible for ensuring the well-being, satisfaction, and safety of the village residents while maintaining a high standard of living and community engagement. The Village Manager serves as the primary point of contact for residents, staff and external stakeholders.

The Role:
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with village residents, fostering a sense of community and addressing their needs and concerns.- Act as a liaison between residents and management, facilitating effective communication and conflict resolution- Implementing day-to-day operational plans and maintenance programs- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the efficient functioning of the village and compliance with relevant regulations.- Managing and supporting a strong team, where you will create a positive, supportive and people-focused culture- Building strong stakeholder relationships across internal and external stakeholders- Delivering performance and creating lifestyle solutions for our residents, including events, communications, and general safety across the village- Maintaining a high level of commitment to the customer and the community- Be the point of contact for staff, residents and their families, being approachable and always presenting excellent customer service.

Having a vibrant people-centric focus will see you thrive in this role, as will:
- The ability to lead, support and mentor team members.- Solid background in customer-centric or operations-based roles- Strong ability to build, maintain and utilise relationships- An ability to balance different priorities and manage day-to-day expectations for the residents and their families.- Experience in hospitality, facilities management, senior living or property management sectors would be highly regarded.- Having sound financial acumen with experience in budgeting, financial management and contract negotiation- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, facility management, hospitality, social work, psychology or related field (preferred)
