Yarning Crescent is expanding, and we are seeking a dedicated Disability Support Coordinator who identifies as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander to provide crucial support to our valued participants.

**Responsibilities**:

- As a Disability Support Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating supports for our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participants in Mt Druitt, Penrith, Blacktown, and the Hawkesbury area.
- You will build strong connections with participants, understanding their needs and goals to help them build capacity and achieve positive outcomes.
- Your role will also involve maintaining essential connections with service providers and assisting with plan reassessments when necessary.
- In unexpected situations, your quick thinking and support will help participants navigate and resolve issues effectively.

**Requirements**:

- To be part of our team, you must identify as being of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent, as we consider this a genuine occupational requirement for this position under s 14 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW).
- A reliable, clean vehicle, and a valid driver's license are essential for this role.
- You must possess a valid WWCC (Working with Children Check) and a clear Criminal History Check.
- Relevant NDIS worker screening is crucial for providing the best possible support.
- While certifications are highly regarded, we also value relevant experience, and both will be considered.
- Strong English speaking and literacy skills are a must to effectively communicate and engage with our clients.

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour

**Schedule**: On call
