Growing transport joint venture on the lookout for an experienced Safety Advisor to join the business on either a contract or perm basis.

The opportunity to join a safety team of 4 to collaborate with other stakeholders to ensure an effective HSEQ Management System. You will be running and participating in trainings and coordinating internal and external audits of project HSEQ management systems.

**The Role**
- Provide key support in the development, implementation and ongoing monitoring of HSE policies, management plan and associated procedures
- Actively implement all HSE initiatives
- Conduct regular routine HSE audits programs and inspections
- Complete incident / injury investigations as required
- Assist in monitoring and ensuring organisational legislative and contractual compliance in relation to health, safety and environmental requirements and workplace practices
- Coordinate the return to work process
- Ensure that HSE risks related to operation and maintenance activities whether carried out by employees or contractors are properly managed
- Provide coaching and training to employees as required
- Provide leadership to ensure the highest standard of safety is maintained for all stakeholders at all times.
- Ensure all safety processes and procedures are adhered to.
- Assist project management to ensure it has adequate HSEQ risk management processes in place to identify and control its relevant hazards.
- Promote use of Job Pre-Start Checks / SWMS tools via inductions, field visits & reviews.
- Oversee HSEQ incident investigation to meet internal and regulatory timeframes.
- Ensure HSEQ compliance/recertification audits are scheduled and conducted in a timely manner.

**Qualifications**
- Minimum of tertiary OH&S and relevant industry experience
- Current Drivers Licence.
- Minimum 5 years experience in similar role.
- Proven ability to develop partnerships with a range of stakeholders including management, staff, clients, regulatory bodies and the community.
- Proven ability to lead and engage a diverse range of people.
