**Key Responsibilities**:
The successful applicant should be passionate about Science education and display the ability to teach Science to VCE. We currently have a particular interest in Biology, however, are open to all specialisations.
- Possess current and high-level understanding of the teaching of Science, including current curriculum and study designs.
- Maintain high standards of learning and teaching, assessment and reporting that is relevant, collaborative and future-focussed.
- Deliver and promote student wellbeing within the College.

**About You**:
It is expected that you will:

- Be enthusiastic about the education of young people.
- Have recent experience in teaching and assessing Senior Science.
- Be a highly skilled and dedicated teacher who contributes to the Learning Area.
- Display a sound knowledge of teaching pedagogies and practices with a focus on developing students’ knowledge and skills.
- Have a tertiary teaching qualification that enables you to teach Science including VCE.
- Hold a current Teacher registration with VIT.

In addition, the preferred applicant will have an understanding of and commitment to, the ethos of Independent Schooling and a willingness to contribute to College events and adhere to the College's 'Child Safety Policy'.
