About the role
Looking for a role where no two days are the same? As a Community Supports Officer with ATSICHS Brisbane, you won't just be providing disability or elder support -- you'll be making a real difference in people's lives. This is a role where you can bring your personality, skills, and passion to work every day. Whether it's assisting with lawn maintenance, taking clients shopping, sharing a yarn over the phone, or simply watching television, your impact will be felt in small but powerful ways. You'll also help facilitate group outings and provide essential support to our Elders, people with disabilities, NDIS participants, and Commonwealth Home Support Scheme clients.
At ATSICHS Brisbane, we know that work should be more than just a job - it should be rewarding, flexible, and meaningful. That's why we tailor the role to suit you and your strengths. If you enjoy social engagement, hands-on assistance, or supporting people in their community, this is the perfect opportunity for you to grow and thrive while giving back.
What You'll Get
- A role that fits your skills, interests, and lifestyle.
- The chance to work in a culturally safe and supportive environment.
- Flexible work arrangements that promote work-life balance.

- A supportive team that values your contribution and helps you grow.
What You'll Do

- Want to make a real difference in the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members? You'll provide culturally safe and person-centred support that respects and uplifts our clients.
- Enjoy helping people with everyday tasks? You'll assist clients with shopping, social outings, and household chores to help them maintain their independence.
- Like being hands-on? You'll support clients with lawn maintenance and other practical needs to ensure they feel comfortable in their homes.
- Love bringing people together? You'll facilitate group outings and activities that promote social connection and community engagement.
- Keen to build meaningful relationships? You'll have yarns with clients, offer companionship, and be a trusted presence in their lives.
- Passionate about empowering others? You'll encourage choice, control, and independence, helping client's live life on their own terms.
**Benefits**:
- $35.39 to $37.97 base hourly rate + casual loading (plus 12% super).
- Flexible casual role providing great work-life balance.
- Work with a leading Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community-controlled organisation.
