Fronditha Care is a longstanding Aged Care Provider that focuses on providing unique, culturally and linguistically diverse services to a wide range of clients within a multicultural environment.

Fronditha Care is seeking a Maintenance Officer to maintain buildings, plant and equipment, furniture and furnishings of their facility in Newcastle, NSW.

Some of the responsibilities for this position include:

- Providing general maintenance for the building and grounds in accordance with regular maintenance schedule.
- Purchasing materials, stores and provision as required.
- Maintain a stores, provisions, materials, and chemicals stock room.
- Undertake repair and cleaning work of plant, equipment and building as required.
- Assist staff as required.
- Accept deliveries of goods and stores appropriately and consistent with Fronditha’s procedures.
- Check all maintenance books daily and prioritize work.
- Ensure supplies of materials are readily available.
- Maintain own work area.

You will have prior maintenance working in buildings services, a Trade Certificate (desirable) and proven skills in a wide range of domestic maintenance needs.

The successful applicant will be a self motivated individual who can organise their work day with minimum supervision, but still meet the requirements of the position. Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential and a current Drivers License and access to a vehicle are highly desirable.

The successful applicant will also be required to undergo a current police check.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $30.29 - $40.37 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
