Skilled Roofer Slate

**Position Overview**:
Positions available: Metal experience preferred.

You will be working on Heritage Domestic Re-roofs and commercial properties across Sydney.

You will be working with a team of happy highly skilled roofing professionals.We are based in the Eastern suburbs of Sydney.Schedule:

- Monday to Friday Saturday work available if requested

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Installation**:

- Install slate and metal roofing systems, including shingles, tiles, and panels.
- Measure and cut roofing materials to fit around vents, chimneys, and other structures.
- Secure roofing materials with nails, screws, or adhesives.
- Install roof ventilation systems and ensure proper water drainage.
- **Repair and Maintenance**:

- Inspect roofs to identify damage or the need for repair.
- Replace damaged or worn-out roofing materials.
- Perform regular maintenance to extend the life of the roof.
- **Safety and Compliance**:

- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
- **Customer Interaction**:

- Communicate with clients to explain roofing processes, timelines, and costs.
- Address any questions or concerns clients may have.
- Provide excellent customer service to ensure client satisfaction.
- **Team Collaboration**:

- Work closely with other team members to complete projects efficiently.
- Assist and mentor less experienced roofers as needed.
- Report progress and any issues to the Roofing Supervisor or Project Manager.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a slate and metal roofer.
- Proficiency in using roofing tools and equipment.
- Strong understanding of roofing techniques and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical fitness and the ability to work at heights.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Certification in roofing or a related field.
- Experience with other roofing materials and systems.
- Basic carpentry skills.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to lift heavy materials and tools.
- Comfortable working on roofs in various weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, climb, and bend for extended periods.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Subcontract, Casual, Apprenticeship

Pay: $78,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

**Experience**:

- Roofing: 4 years (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)

Work Location: In person
