The Contract Manager role supports Client Engagement Leads (Partners and Directors) with managing client contracts across the end-to-end lifecycle. This role will form part of the Firm’s newly created Contract Centre of Excellence (CoE), accountable for firmwide contracting processes, procedures and systems, primarily focused on client contracting. The Contract Manager is responsible for working with other specialists in the business to support and facilitate contracts through the different stages of contracting. The Contract Manager will need to develop strong relationships with Engagement Leads, as well as other specialists in the business (e.g. Legal, Risk Management and Privacy teams).

**Key Responsibilities**
- Advise and support Engagement Leads on the Firm’s contracting processes procedures and systems based on knowledge of KPMG’s industries, sectors and clients and services in respect of new contracts, and variations or renewals of contracts.
- Initial assessment of contracts, identifying clauses which are not aligned with KPMG's preferred positions, escalating reviews to KPMG's Risk Management, Legal or other specialist teams
- Manage the contract review and negotiation cycle including facilitating internal reviews with stakeholders, advising the Engagement Lead, preparing and maintaining contractual documents, documenting changes and outcomes.
- Manage contract approvals and execution processes.
- Develop contract guidelines for key clients to equip Engagement Leads with knowledge of the contract and how to engage under it
- Develop contract reports and analysis to support with the performance management of contracts (e.g. obligation compliance, contract value realisation, contract utilisation, contract renewal rates, contract cycle time).
- Support the operationalisation of the Firm’s Contract Lifecycle Management System (CLMS), including:

- developing and documenting contracting procedures and supporting resources
- managing and maintaining contracts; and
- validating contract and obligation information

**How Are you Extraordinary?**
- Experience working in a large professional services organisation or equivalent
- Deep understanding and knowledge of contracts and contractual obligations including terms, structures, compliance and contractual risks
- Experience managing contracts and related processes across the entire contract lifecycle, from initiation to execution and renewal.
- Familiar with contract lifecycle management solutions (CLMS) and tools
- Ability to analyse and interpret contracts and summarise terms and obligations for a range of audiences
- Outstanding stakeholder management and collaboration skills across all levels of organisation

**Qualifications**:

- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Desired: Legal background or acumen
