An exciting opportunity currently exists for a Factory Automation Systems Specialist to join the Engineering team in our Blayney Factory. This role will provide support for Factory Automation Systems (FAS) via professional and technical operational activities and during participation in CAPEX projects.
**A day in the life**
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Participate in Capital Investments projects in the factory ensuring that the technical solution follows corporate and market standards.
- Preparation of the user and technical specifications, coordinating the requirements of the main users (production, quality, etc.), the follow up of the solution development, the pre-test, implementation and training of operators and maintenance crews.
- Ensure Process & Equipment safety for people, products and environment.
- Participates in the implementation of engineering tools at site level (i.e. NSAT, NET, AMM, etc.), and in the M&I activities in the factory.
- Ensures that all FAS installations comply with market and corporate safety, health, environment, product safety and product quality standards.
- Contributes to the delivery of efficient and secure IT operations.
- Participates in supporting processes that include incident, problem, change, configuration, and event management. Delivery to End User with initial Setup & Training.
- Supports market & project testing; supports specification, configuration & sustain activities and utilizes 3rd party services as directed.
- Purchase, Good Receipt, Asset Registration, Asset Tags, Imaging, Testing, Deliver to User, Maintain an Asset Database and track changes.
- Provide Field Services: Cabling, Equipment Racking & Mounting. Physical moving asset to Secure Area. Pack/Unpack equipment or components. Meeting Room setup & sustain etc
- Contributes to operational compliance of all technology-related issues across IT including information security, privacy, business continuity, identity management, user access and data integrity, under guidance of others.
**What will make you successful**
- Joining a collaborative team of specialists, you will be a strong professional with a drive to deliver quality outcomes.
- Minimum 2 years IT support experience.
- Personnel Supervision of technical teams, contractors or other 3rd parties - preferred
- Participation in the development of engineering projects as part of a multidisciplinary team - preferred
- Participation in the start-up of technical equipment(s) and/or production line(s) - preferred
- Self-Management following defined KPIs/Objectives, and proactively tracking them
- Exposure to TPM, preventive maintenance planning and/or maintenance execution desired but not required.
- Proven track record in delivering results by working with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills and a proven capacity to influence and negotiate to drive high standards of performance and quality.
