Mercy Connect supports people in need to live fulfilled lives. We provide a range of services to support adults, children and older people with a disability to live independently and get actively involved in their community. Mercy Connect is a not-for-profit Catholic organisation delivering a range of programs registered under the NDIS. Our programs support people with disability to build skills and capability to ensure they can participate in leading a meaningful life.

We are looking for energised and engaging Disability Support Workers to join award winning Mercy Connect Limited. As a recipient of the Telstra Best of Business State Award
- winning the Championing Health/Embracing Innovation we have new and exciting services and programs to offer people with disability. We are expanding and looking for enthusiastic and passionate individuals who have strong interest in working people with disability, including children and young adults.

**The Role**:
As a Disability Support Worker, you will assist people who have a disability with daily living tasks and community inclusion and participation activities. A wide range of tasks are undertaken in the context of supporting the person to maintain their mental and physical wellbeing, explore opportunities and work towards agreed outcomes that are important to, and for, the person. The position in Cowra requires experience DSW's preferably with Epilepsy training.

**About you**:

- Develop supportive working relationships with individuals and teams
- Gain the confidence, trust and respect of Participants and colleagues
- Recognise the importance of dignity and the rights of people with disability
- Provide support in line with Mercy Connects mission and values, and comply with organisational policies, procedures, NDIS Practice standards

**Desired Skills and Experience**:

- Availability for shiftwork on a rotating 4 week roster, including sleepovers, active nights and weekends.

Must have all the below documents prior to commencement - 23 June 2025.
- A current drivers licence

- Working With Children’s Check NSW
- First Aid Certificate
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
