Waitperson

**Position Overview**: We are seeking a personable, attentive, and guest-focused Waitperson to join our team at The Albwert Hotel Mosman. As a Waitperson, you will play a crucial role in delivering outstanding dining experiences to our valued guests. Your professionalism, excellent communication skills, and dedication to service excellence will contribute to creating a memorable and delightful atmosphere in our boutique hotel's dining venue.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**1.** **Guest Service**:

- Welcome guests with a warm and friendly demeanour, escorting them to their tables and providing menus.
- Assist guests in selecting menu items, explaining specials, and answering any questions they may have.

**2.** **Order Taking and Processing**:

- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special requests, dietary preferences, and allergies are communicated to the kitchen.
- Enter orders into the point-of-sale system promptly and accurately.

**3.** **Table Set-up and Presentation**:

- Set tables with appropriate utensils, glassware, and linens, ensuring an aesthetically pleasing and organised dining environment.
- Ensure table settings are clean and properly arranged throughout service.

**4.** **Food and Beverage Service**:

- Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and courteous manner, following proper serving etiquette and presentation guidelines.
- Address any additional needs or requests from guests throughout their meal.

**5.** **Team Collaboration**:

- Coordinate effectively with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other waitstaff to ensure smooth service flow and timely delivery of orders.
- Communicate guest feedback, special requests, and any issues to relevant team members.

**6.** **Cleanliness and Hygiene**:

- Maintain a clean and organised work area, including dining tables, service stations, and other guest areas.
- Follow hygiene and sanitation standards to ensure a safe and hygienic dining environment.

**7.** **Guest Relations**:

- Build positive relationships with guests, attending to their needs and creating a personalised dining experience.
- Handle guest inquiries, comments, and concerns professionally and promptly.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent (Hospitality or Culinary certifications are a plus).
- Previous experience as a Waitperson or Server in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Strong customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanour.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Familiarity with menu items and culinary offerings.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and remain composed under pressure.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring guest satisfaction.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 7 per week
