Lets talk about you

As our ISP Carrier Technician, you will work with our Technology teams to ensure a cohesive approach Aussie Broadband's Data Centres & Facilities. You will possess:
- A solid understanding of the telco and data centre industry.- Knowledge of current ISP and Server hardware and be able to demonstrate technical understanding of fibre and copper technologies.- Experience of modern Data Centre operations.- NBN and Telstra portal knowledge including:
- Access site permissions- Ordering and cancelling services- Escalation processes- Access site permissions- Excellent time management and ability to plan workloads and travel.- Australian Drivers License.- Ability to work on-call as required.- Certificate III in IT preferred but not essential

How will you support our “Why?”

As a skilled technician in the internet service provider field, you will be responsible for:
- Optics Handling: Managing the installation and patching of transceivers in switch and routing equipment.- Fibre Insight: Identifying different fibre patch lead types and connectors.- Console Proficiency: Use of console connections.- Local Knowledge: Have a solid understanding of the geographical area you'll operate in whilst also being a confident and proficient driver.- Hardware.
