**About the Division**:
The Chief Information Officer Division (CIO Division) is an exciting, fast-paced division that drives the digital agenda for the Department of Industry, Science and Resources. Leading the delivery of the department’s digital offerings, the CIO Division partners with business areas and stakeholders to:

- Realise the digital policy objectives of the Department
- Define the Departments digital landscape
- Drive the innovation and transformation of its IT services

We are seeking motivated, proactive, personable skilled leaders’ individuals for two Technical Lead, Executive Level 1, roles across ICT Operations Branch.

**Team Leader - Infrastructure Services**

This role is preferred in Canberra, but strong applicants in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane will also be considered.
- Strong leadership skills and a proven ability to mentor and motivate staff
- Proven ability to develop staff capability through coaching, mentoring and succession planning
- A broad Microsoft Windows technical background within a complex environment
- The ability to operate under broad direction exercising a considerable degree of independence
- Demonstrated problem solving skills with the ability to analyse and resolve complex issues
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience with stakeholder engagement
- High level verbal and written communication skills
- A sound understanding of ICT concepts and an ability to learn new technologies
- Experience providing expert advice to ITSM and enterprise architecture boards

**Technical Lead - National Measurement Institute - ICT Operations**

This role can be located in Canberra, Sydney or Melbourne.
- Experience in architecture functions will be well regarded
- A demonstrated ability to understand an end to end ICT environment, ICT concepts, build technical knowledge, lead and develop improvement strategies
- An ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with a broad range of technical and business stakeholders
- Strong communication skills
- A focus on identifying and implementing improvements to technologies and processes
- A proactive and driven approach
- Demonstrated problem solving skills with the ability to analyse and resolve complex issues
- An understanding of relevant ICT in government regulations, best practice and other considerations
- Experience in leadership roles with a collaborative, cohesive and inclusive approach.

**What you will do**:
**Team Leader - Infrastructure Services**

As Team Leader, you will manage a team of technical professionals in the delivery of quality outcomes within a complex Microsoft Windows environment. You will mentor staff, organise and prioritise work activities of the team to achieve agreed objectives while maintaining and developing key business relationships.

Your key responsibilities will be:

- Leadership and management of a team administering a complex MS Windows server and workstation environment including Defender, AD, DFS, PKI, ADFS, file and print services, ensuring appropriate IT infrastructure, services and support are maintained and delivered to the business;
- Lead, coach and develop team members through regular feedback, appropriate support in their development goals and performance reviews;
- Provide input and expert advice on technology direction including the adoption of new technologies, tools or systems;
- Work closely with senior management and other areas within CIO Division and the wider business to manage engagements and be responsible for the complete lifecycle management of managed services;
- Ensure appropriate policies and procedures are in place;
- Ensure system availability and uptime;
- Accountable for continuous improvement and innovation to enhance the service delivery experience;
- Disaster recovery planning; and
- Manage key vendor relationships

**Technical Lead - National Measurement Institute - ICT Operations**

- Build and document a technical understanding of the NMI ICT landscape
- Ensure appropriate practices and processes for ongoing technical knowledge management and continuity
