**About Us**
Our technical spatial capability captures the real world to produce 3D data and models for various planning, engineering, and architectural requirements. In time our digital capability will use analytics to convert the 3D data into knowledge and insights. Core to the Digital and Spatial (D&S) team are our acquisition services in terrestrial scanning, mobile laser scanning, UAV LiDAR, and UAV imagery. Our D&S team focus on 3D modelling, BIM, GIS, 3D visualisations, analytics and geospatial advisory.
**The Opportunity**
You will need to be a self-starter and a problem solver and comfortable with autonomy and teamwork at different times. Travel to isolated work environments will also be required.
This will suit someone who appreciates the challenging nature of Laser Scanning while leveraging their survey skills and experience. You will have access to the latest laser scanning equipment and innovative technologies available. No two jobs will be the same and you will get to see amazing parts of Tasmania.
You will also have proven experience in traditional surveying skills including the use of Total Stations and GPS for accurate control requirements of each project.
**About You**
- To be successful in this role you will demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- Tertiary or other recognised institution qualifications in Land Surveying or Geomatics
- Experienced in the survey industry, preferably feature and level surveys
- Experience in experience in Laser Scanning (highly desirable), experience in addressing equipment and setup, installations, and troubleshooting (desirable)
- Creation and manipulation of data into high quality point clouds, reality mesh and CAD deliverables
- Have a keen interest in innovative technologies and push the limits of scanning and imagery
- Ability to work autonomously and as an effective team member
- Comfortable in working in difficult environments such as confined spaces and elevated platforms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Delivery-focused, self-starter, problem-solver
