About Your New Role

Are you looking for a role with real meaning and purpose? Gold Coast Health have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Exercise Physiologist to join our newly developed Secure Mental Health Unit and make a positive difference in the lives of others.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver core Exercise Physiology clinical services to consumers including assessment, treatment, education and physical rehabilitation programs
Participate in clinical supervision, professional development, and in-service education
Demonstrate the ability to independently plan, develop and implement programs on a needs-specific basis for individuals and groups of clients
Utilise competent negotiation, consultation, advocacy and interpersonal skills to work cooperatively and effectively

**Qualifications**:
To be successful in this position you will require:
Tertiary degree (or equivalent) in exercise physiology or human movement studies
Eligibility for accreditation as an exercise physiologist with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA)
Work experience in relevant mental health areas will be well regarded
Drivers Licence
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

Permanent part time (56 hours per fortnight)
Base salary ranging from $43.68 - $60.43 per hour
