**The Company**
Our client is Australia’s leading industrial manufacturer of prefabricated roof trusses, wall frames, posi struts and cassette floor panels. The business is 100% Australian-owned and operated (with manufacturing facilities across Melbourne, Geelong and Brisbane) and prides itself on quality, efficiency and reliability. They continue to innovate and grow across the building industry and invests heavily in their staff.

**The Role**
Newly created role - As the Continuous Improvement Manager, you will be primarily based at the Geelong plant and requires regular travel to the Brisbane site to oversee and drive the continuous improvement process. At present, the sites do not have any support in place around the assessment of targets or performance measures. It is therefore your responsibility as the Continuous Improvement Manager to implement and drive world-class manufacturing standards and methods to increase productivity and processes. This will help both plants embark on an Operational Excellence journey.

Your objective is to drive C/I Systems and processes creating greater consistency and technical understanding across the manufacturing of the Geelong plant and the Brisbane plant. In Geelong, there are 300 employees based on site manufacturing across 10 lines. At the Brisbane plant, there are a total of 100 (70 of which are Production staff and 30 of which are office-based). You will embark the sites on a C/I journey by coaching, educating and encouraging enthusiasm for embracing change. Culturally you will bring passion, hunger and enthusiasm combined with LEAN Continuous Improvement skills.

As the Continuous Improvement Manager, you will be required to bring technical and analytical expertise, combined with a fresh approach to General Manufacturing Practices. Supporting the Site Leadership Group, you will play an integral role in training and mentoring the existing team and ensure that overall best practice is achieved, ideally utilising LEAN methodologies. Strong focus on process flow analysis, waste mapping, process improvement boards, driving improvement projects and implementation of other KPI’s related to C/I initiatives for both plants.

**Skills & Experience**
- Tertiary qualified in manufacturing, engineering, Lean, Six Sigma or a related discipline.
- Possess a proven track record in Continuous Improvement preferably from a mid to large-scale fast-moving manufacturing environment.
- Have a proven ability to engage and influence all employees on-site to create greater continuous improvement awareness and culture
- Possess strengths across leadership, analytics, change management, modern LEAN philosophies, and be a logical thinker.
- Hands-on team player with excellent communication skills and possess an aptitude for leadership.
