**About the Centre/Service**

Holbury Children’s Centre is a small, caring, not for profit community kindergarten set within a beautiful park side location in Blackburn South. The kindergarten is proudly overseen by a dedicated parent committee, who together with our passionate educators, focus on creating a warm and supportive atmosphere for our children and families. One of our distinctive characteristics is that we offer a blended age 3 & 4-year-old kindergarten program where our children play and learn together in a cozy, family-like environment.

**Work Days of the Role**

Mondays and Wednesdays (contact hours) + flexible planning time

22.5 hours (15 contact hrs / 7.5 non contact hours)

**Description**
- Are you an experienced Early Childhood Educator looking for work life balance in a meaningful part-time role (22.5 hours) commencing in 2025?

**Sounds like you would be a perfect fit to our unique community kindergarten set amongst the peaceful surrounds of Blackburn south** **Your responsibilities would include**:

- Delivering the Monday and Wednesday combined age, 3&4-year-old kindergarten group (22 children in total).
- Delivering a program of education and care based on strengths, dispositions, skills and interests of the children which will evolve from observations, feedback from parents and the broader kindergarten community
- Ensuring the program adheres to the agreed centre philosophy as well as the Code of Conduct and Child Safe Standards.
- Engaging with the Holbury Children’s Centre Parent committee to support the ongoing development of the centre.

**About you.**
- Early Childhood Degree qualification as recognised by ACECQA and prior experience in Early Childhood education.
- Excellent knowledge, skills and understanding of both the Victorian Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Framework.
- Proven ability to work in a cohesive team environment.
- Comprehensive understanding of child development (3-6 years old)
- Demonstrate personal values aligned with Holbury Children’s Centre community values
- Proven skill and experience in working in an early education and care setting
- Sound knowledge of legislation, policy and frameworks relation to early education and care services
