Sommelier

We’re looking for a passionate and ambitious Sommelier who wants to work in a venue with a wide global selection.
- small, independent, wine bar and bottle shop
- award winning wine list (3 glasses from AWLOTY and Star Wine List Red Star)
- order wine at cost from any supplier your heart desires
- collaborative and supportive workplace
- Sommelier, FOH, or wine retail experience
- High level of wine knowledge, new and old world
- Knowledge of off-piste wine regions will be advantageous (Tokaj, Kremstal, Baden, The Willamette Valley, Vayots Dzor?)
- Exceptional service skills
- Can perform in high-pressure service environment
- Organisational and time management skills
- Exceptional communication
- Availability to work Fridays and Saturdays, closing shifts, weekends and public holidays
- WSET or CMS certification advantageous, but not necessary with the right knowledge level
- A valid RSA certificate

Pay: From $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 16 per week
