Workshop Technician

Set Up Camp is currently hiring a FULL TIME Workshop Technician to join our team at Underwood. Set Up Camp is QLD's dealer of OPUS camper trailers, Hilltop Caravans and Star Vision Campers where we deliver new campers and caravans to customers, and provide service and warranty support to existing customers.

We are looking for a motivated, experienced and qualified Mechanic OR Auto Electrician to join our team. If you are reliable, have great attention to detail, enjoy working as part of a team across a variety of work, and looking to bring your skills to a new company, we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities and expectations of this role will include:

- Responsible for ensuring a high level of quality in your workmanship for both pre-delivery, servicing and repairs of all campers and caravans
- You must have a fix it right first-time attitude and be able to think on your feet to diagnose and solve problems.
- Be confident and competent in your mechanical / auto electrician skills with proven ability
- Be able to use and safely operate hand and power tools
- Fitting a range of accessories to camper and caravans including Air-conditioning, diesel heaters, DC/DC chargers and more.
- Servicing, plus general repairs and maintenance of camper trailers and caravans
- Performing detailed pre-delivery checks on new camper trailers and caravans
- Washing and detailing campers for delivery to customers
- Handover of campers to customers
- Following correct procedures
- Strong attention to detail and providing great customer service
- The ability to work independently

Essential skills:

- Mechanic OR auto electrician
- Experience in installing 12V accessories
- Hold a current Qld driver’s licence

Favourable skills but not essential:

- Experience with caravan repairs
- Forklift ticket

**Salary**: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
