This position collaborates deeply with key leaders and client teams across the agency including creative, media and technology. This is a hands-on role focused on elevating media thinking and strategic smarts for our clients, influencing both the creative and media output.

Allow us to introduce ourselves

We’re Apparent, a full-service, independent agency made up of 170 thinkers, creators and solution-makers doing what we do best. One thing you should know about us: we’ve got an entrepreneurial spirit, and we know the work worth doing doesn’t fit into neat, tidy boxes. And neither should you, for that matter.

Our warehouse space in Redfern is here for you to gather, make stuff you’re proud of and grow your strengths (even if they have nothing to do with your job description).

We punch well above our weight, with some of the biggest clients in the world on our roster, from tech giants like LinkedIn and IBM, to local icons like Tourism Australia and Cricket Australia. We exist to amplify our clients’ impact, shaping customer experiences and decisions through the integration of media, content and technology.
- On any given day you can expect to cross paths with someone in strategy, brand, creative, content production, social media, UX/UI, technology and media planning and buying. Oh and dogs, too. You’ll definitely cross paths with adorable dogs.

A few things you’ll like about working here:

- A flexible and hybrid working policy
- Generous parental leave and summer days off
- Heaps of growth and training opportunities
- 24/7 access to our employee assistance program for you and your family

**About the role**:
With a focus on driving excellence in the craft of planning, you’ll be responsible for:

- Planning Craft: Strong planning fundamentals with a clear pov on critical inputs and outputs, shaping the agencies approach to planning
- Strategic Leadership: Ability to unpack a client brief, distil the heart of task and lay out a clear pathway for how the agency can amplify our clients impact
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data sets across campaign and business performance to derive compelling insights that will influence plans
- Technical Expertise: Hands on knowledge of industry and proprietary tools, guiding insights and strategic planning across customer, growth and channel
- Innovation: Innovate how we work, bringing new ideas and thinking frameworks to raise the product and enhance our implementation
- Partnerships: Embrace media partnerships, managing the strategic relationship when required, helping to shape bespoke content and outputs
- Mentorship: Mentor and support junior team members, providing training and expertise to uplevel overall thinking
- Champion: Champion and celebrate great work and ensure it is showcased internally and also externally through awards, trade press, conferences, etc.
- Reputation: Help build the agency’s reputation by contributing to thought leadership articles, award entries and industry events

**Experience**:

- Passion for media planning with a minimum of 5 years experience in a media agency
- Experience working with B2B brands and an understanding of lead generation marketing
- Technical, passionate & persuasive. Skilled at solving and explaining complex problems and also providing innovative solutions
- Holistic thinker with strong grasp of the media landscape and the trends and influences that will impact the future for our clients
- Knowledge of the platforms and the role they are playing in shaping the media ecosystem
- Master presenter and communicator with presence and the ability to lead discussions and command respect
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to pull insights from various sources to develop clear points of view
