**Your Role**:
Working closely with the Deputy Principal and Executive Team, you will support people and culture initiatives, implement HR policies, manage staffing and recruitment processes, and assist with employee relations. You will also ensure a seamless onboarding experience for all new staff, with no two days being the same.
**Responsibilities may Include**:
- ** Recruitment and staffing**
- Manage the online HRIS system.
- Facilitate onboarding for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition.
- Organise employee engagement activities and training sessions to promote team development.
- ** Administration**
- Maintain and ensure the accuracy of staff records in TASS.
- Update and manage the College's Organisational Chart, Staff Listings, and Staff Handbook.
- Assist with annual reporting, including WGEA submissions, salary benchmarking, and employee surveys.
- Support the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- ** Employee Relations**
- Serve as a frontline contact for HR and People and Culture matters, collaborating with the Executive Team.
- Assist with employee relations issues, fostering a positive and respectful workplace culture.
- Provide support for performance management processes in partnership with line managers.
- ** Compliance**
- Ensure all staff complete required training modules and that these are updated regularly.
- Contribute to effective compliance controls.
- Manage the Blue Card and QCT Registration portals for all employees, volunteers, and coaches.
- Act as the Return-to-Work Coordinator, facilitating Suitable Duties Plans when needed.
- Ensure compliance with data collection, storage, and privacy regulations regarding incident and accident reporting.
**Key Selection Criteria**
- Demonstrated experience and background in employee relations.
- Sound knowledge of the aspects of the legal and regulatory framework relevant to independent schools in Queensland (highly preferrable)
- Attention to detail and investigation showcasing an ability to identify the detail behind the issues and resolve complex problems to completion.
- Ability to cope within a high-pressure environment - staying calm and positive.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to manage a range of work tasks and outcomes and liaise effectively with stakeholders.
- Good communication skills, both written and oral.
- Sound knowledge of the NES and Fair Work regulations.
**Essential Qualifications**:
- Have a current Positive Notice working with children Blue Card, or the ability to obtain one.
- Degree in Human Resources or related discipline (desirable).
- Relevant industry knowledge and experience in Workplace Health and Safety, Compliance/Risk Management or a related discipline.
