Seeking an enthusiastic Grade 3 Social Worker who demonstrates excellent communication skills, exhibits ethical and professional responsibility, and is keen to further develop clinical and research skills in an exciting and innovative work environment.
This full-time permanent position provides the opportunity to implement your expert knowledge and skills in providing recovery orientated care within a secure residential mental health setting. The role is supported by a well-established multdisplinary team and offers the opportunity to work with consumers, families and carers. In addition to this, the position enables you to extend your leadership skills and provide supervision to social work grade 1 &2 staff and through opportunities for further learning and participation in team and departmental activities.
**To be Successful in this Role, you will have**:
- Skills and experience working with consumers with mental illness and their family and carers, including skills in assessment, crisis intervention, counselling, relapse prevention and recovery focussed principles in a brief intervention framework.
- A passion for providing high quality person-centred and evidence-based - and have a strong interest in driving model of care and service delivery change for consumers with co-occurring mental health and substance use conditions (dual diagnosis)
- Experience and interest in clinical supervision and mentorship (both within Social Work) and more broadly to a multidisciplinary team
- A sense of calm and stability in a dynamic and developing clinical setting
- Contribute flexibly, creatively and enthusiastically to initiatives for ongoing improvement
