FwD is a volunteer based not-for-profit registered charity that provides practical programs to assist survivors of domestic violence in collaboration with refuge and crisis centres. They work alongside these and other organisations, recognising that the mutual goal is to reduce the instances of domestic violence in Australia.

**Volunteers Needed - Newcastle Region**

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help us within the Newcastle Region. All positions are volunteer based and unpaid.

**The Opportunity**

The Donations Coordinator is the link between the potential donor and the organisation. This role ensures the acquisition of donations are relevant and appropriate for the use in our Programs.

**Duties Include**
- Act as a liaison between the donor and the Warehouse manager or storage coordinator
- Liaise with other members of the Team to understand current requirements and needs to fulfil requests efficiently and effectively
- The donations coordinator will endeavour to ensure the quality of the donations offered meet the FWD guidelines - please familiarize yourself with the Donations Guidelines
- Ensuring that relevant team members such as Fundraising, Events, Programs, Community Engagements and Accounts are included in any pertinent correspondence
- Will report to the Warehouse/Storage manager regarding all aspects of FWD donations
- Sharing information of relevant donations with the larger team for action
- Maintaining donor confidentiality and ensuring compliance with applicable policies
- Seeking and implementing process efficiencies for the donation process
- Offers and provides feedback on the donation process as required and applicable.

FwD appreciate any time you are able to offer. If you are able to commit to regular hours (such as 5 hours per week) we would be delighted to discuss ongoing projects that might interest you. As it takes an amount of time and resource to welcome new volunteers on board, we would appreciate it if you pledged to support us initially for a minimum of 3 months.
