**The Role**
This role will be reporting directly to the Commercial Finance Manager.
The Finance Analyst is responsible for providing support to the Commercial Finance Manager to drive business performance and ensure integrity of the results in the Australian manufacturing sites.
Responsibilities will include:
- Provide decision support, value-added analysis and strong commercial analysis to the assigned business unit(s);
- Analyse facility financial and management accounting reports and make recommendations resulting in cost reductions and EBITDA/business improvements for the assigned business unit(s); and
- Review and recommend corrective actions to drive improvements in process and drive performance in the assigned business unit.
- active management of working capital by implementing initiatives to minimise working capital by improved debtor terms, reduced inventory holdings and/or extended creditor payment terms for the assigned business unit(s).
- Review job costings and ensure that jobs are being closed accurately and contain all required input from the assigned business unit(s)
- Prepare journals and supporting information to support an accurate month-end close of the assigned business unit(s);
- Prepare supporting analysis to support performance and financial reporting commitments associated with the assigned business unit(s);
- Analyse financial and statistical information to ensure accuracy and completeness of all reported financial information for the assigned business unit(s);
- Strong commercial acumen, inquisitive
- Highly motivated and curious to learn about the business and processes.

- Demonstrated ability to analyse information to understand issues, interpret data, identify options & present in a logical, clear manner to support sound decision making
