**The Opportunity**
Our Assurance & Risk Advisory team is experiencing high demand for its services as it continues to build on its reputation as an outstanding, and experienced specialist group of professionals. Due to this rapid growth are looking for an Auditor / Consultant to join our Assurance & Risk Advisory teams in Brisbane and Canberra.

The responsibilities will include involvement in the completion of internal audits of varied size and scope. In addition to the technical aspects, this role will also support workflow monitoring for the team and operate as an internal audit specialist allowing for knowledge transfer and training of staff.

**The day-to-day duties**:

- Perform audit testing tasks in line with the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) International Professional Practice Framework, IIA and Information System Audit & Control Association standards, Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (Australian) and in line with the ethical standards as prescribed by CAANZ/CPA Australia.
- Engage with clients through planning, fieldwork and reporting, to build client / firm rapport and guide successful audit delivery.
- Develop and contribute to the technical knowledge of the team and our clients.
- Participate in the Performance review process, and work with your Direct Manager to identify and monitor performance related goals throughout the performance cycle.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of software, systems, and work practices used by the team through raising potential improvements as they are identified.
- Develop expertise and skills in a specific area of technical interest which enhances the firm's reputation, fulfills a service gap, and develops a referral base.

**What we'd like you to have**:

- Bachelor of Accounting/Commerce or Finance or Business-related degree.
- Experience in a similar role is essential, internal audit experience is highly regarded / highly desired.
- Completed or progressing CA ANZ or CPA accreditation.
- Knowledge of current internal audit concepts and standards.
- Have a high level of written and verbal communication skills and an ability to work as a team and by themselves.
- Baseline security clearance or eligibility to obtain (highly desirable).
