**Southern Cross Care QLD is currently looking for a part-time Maintenance Officer to support our Aged Care Facilities in Allora. Working 3 days a week as part of the maintenance team you will have the opportunity to work across our two Nursing Homes as well as the adjacent independent units at Jubilee Gardens.**

To be a Maintenance officer with Southern Cross Care QLD, you will need to be someone who enjoys the outdoors and performing hands on maintenance work to ensure our site is safe and enjoyable for our residents. You will have a green thumb to ensure that our gardens/lawns are well maintained and kept tidy throughout the seasons. All the work you do will need to be done in accordance with Health and Safety requirements which we can assist you to better understand if needed. You will need to be personable as you will be interacting with our residents throughout your day, you will need to enjoy working within a team but also be able to work autonomously.

**About You**:

- Previous experience and knowledge in general and commercial maintenance and gardening
- Be able to undertake daily site inspections
- Be able to perform general maintenance and caretaker duties
- Arranging quotes, coordinating and supervising external contractors
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and to manage your time effectively
- Well developed written and verbal communication skills
- Maintain an up to date influenza and COVID 19 vaccinations (or other such required vaccinations) in accordance with the requirements of Government Health Directives and Southern Cross Care Queensland Policy
- You will posses the right to work in Australia
