**POOL LIFEGUARD - AQUATIC & FITNESS CENTRE**
**FULL-TIME AND PART-TIME
Cranbrook School is seeking experienced and energetic Pool Lifeguards to join our brand
new, state of the art Aquatic & Fitness Centre (AFC) located at the Senior School campus in
Bellevue Hill.

**ABOUT THE POSITION**

Pool Lifeguards will ensure the safety of all users of the Aquatic & Fitness Centre by
providing supervision of the aquatic facilities.

Reporting to the Duty Supervisor, Pool Lifeguards will supervise the pool at all times,
respond to emergency situations, perform water rescues and provide first aid when
required.

**ABOUT YOU**

You are an experienced Pool Lifeguard who is passionate about water safety.

An excellent team member, you are adaptable and capable of working in a busy and varied
environment. You are a hands-on operator who is happy to do whatever is required to
ensure the safe and effective operation of the Aquatic & Fitness Centre.

You are a good communicator who is able to clearly convey important safety messages to
all pool users including staff, students and parents.

**SELECTION CRITERIA**

- Previous experience as a Pool Lifeguard
- Current Pool Lifeguard qualification
- Current Provide First Aid and CPR qualifications
- Able to complete a Lifeguard assessment (to be conducted onsite at the Cranbrook

AFC)
- A firm commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

AUSTSWIM qualification, Certificate III in Fitness and experience working in an independent
school would be advantageous.

The position will be paid significantly above the Award, at a level determined by skills and
