Our team of skilled professionals works collaboratively to create a supportive environment for both individual and group therapy. We are seeking a motivated and empathetic group therapy assistant to join our team and help facilitate and manage group counselling sessions.

**Job Summary**: We are looking for a Group Therapy Assistant to assist in facilitating group therapy sessions, ensuring a supportive and effective therapeutic environment. This role involves supporting therapists and engaging with clients to enhance their therapeutic experience.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Facilitate Group Sessions**: Assist therapists in facilitating group therapy sessions.
- **Intake**: Manage and organize intake for the groups, including coordinating with clients and therapists to ensure optimal participation.
- **Client Support**: Provide support to clients during group sessions.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with therapists and other team members to plan and execute group therapy programs.
- **Administrative Tasks**: Handle administrative duties related to group therapy, including social media and updates for the group.
- **Feedback Collection**: Gather and analyse feedback from clients to continuously improve group therapy offerings and address any issues.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- **Education**: To be working towards a bachelor’s degree or certificate in psychology, Social Work, Counselling, or a related field; relevant certifications are a plus.
- **Experience**: No experience necessary we are willing to train the right person.
- **Skills**: Strong organizational and communication skills, ability to manage multiple tasks, and a compassionate approach to client interactions.
- **Attributes**: Empathetic, patient, and able to create a welcoming and supportive environment for clients.

**Location and Work Environment**: The groups are run at Belconnen community Centre. We offer a supportive and collaborative work environment with opportunities for professional growth.

**Salary and Benefits**: The role is casual and the award casual rate
