**Position Information**:
Karabar High School is a partially Selective High school on Ngambri and Ngunnawal lands in Queanbeyan, in the border region of NSW and the ACT. The school has a current enrolment of 945 students in years 7-12, including 9% Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and 8% English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D).

Karabar High School is committed to high expectations and opportunities for all. The school provides an inclusive and supportive environment that allows each student to develop to their potential with an academically selective stream Years 7-10, a Performing Arts stream in Stage 4 and six special education classes (MC, IM and Tutorial).

**Selection Criteria**:

- Approval to teach Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE), Sport, Lifestyle and Recreation (SLR) and Community & Family Studies (CFS).
- Highly developed interpersonal, communication and organisational skills to build positive relationships with students, parents and the community.
- Capacity to implement effective classroom management strategies and to plan and implement differentiated teaching and learning programs to maximise student growth and promote high expectations for all students.
