**About the School**: n 2006 Camp Hill State Infants and Primary School was established after the merger of the two Camp Hill schools located on adjoining campuses - Camp Hill Primary School (established 1926) and Camp Hill Infants School (established 1951). Our school combines the proud histories and traditions of two schools that both had very deserved reputations for providing excellence in education.

**About the Role**: As a Schools Officer - Grounds & Facilities, you will have responsibity for the following, but not limited to:

- Responsibile for a range of day to day activities that include maintenance of school ovals through regular mowing and soil maintenance (refer to Workplace Health & Safety (WH&S) Guidelines & Procedures); lawn and garden care and maintenance including regular weeding and the use of appropriate insecticides and fertilizers where necessary (refer to WH&S Guidelines & Procedures);undertake general maintenance of grounds care equipment such as mowers, brush cutters, tractors etc (as per manufacturers' service manuals) and arrange regular services
- Ensure compliance with WH&S requirements including maintenance of a safe work environment; safe storage and handling of chemicals, fertilisers and fuels
- Assist with a range of duties that include co-ordinating the removal and/or disposal of rubbish as required
- Attend to/or arrange repairs and maintenance within the school, including those which relate to fences, paving, gates and irrigation, swimming pools (eg maintaining proper water quality, testing water, keeping records of tests, adjusting/adding chemicals as consistent with WH&S Guidelines and Procedures
- Order and/or collect general grounds care/cleaning supplies and materials as authorised by the Principal, Business Manager of nominated delegate; undertake ground improvement and enhancement activities and prepare, mark and take general care of all outdoor sporting facilities; other duties consistent with the responsibility of the position as directed by the Principal, Business Manager or nominated delegate eg basketball, netball, tennis courts, cricket pitches, track and field areas.

This is a OO2 progression position as per the Role Description. The successful applicant will be appointed to the OO2 classification with eligibility for progression to the OO3 level once specific criteria have been met. Please note salary rate shown is reflective of OO2 to OO3 classification range.
When working in regulated employment an employee must have a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.
