**Role details**

The Finance Officer provides key support to the Senior Management Accountant by delivering high-quality financial and budgetary services to inform strategic decision-making. The position plays a crucial role in offering insights and guidance that support the agency’s financial objectives

This role is responsible for facilitating efficient and effective financial management processes. By streamlining operations and enhancing financial workflows, the role contributes to optimising resource allocation and ensuring smooth financial operations.

The position ensures full compliance with all relevant legislative and financial reporting requirements, by upholding regulatory standards and ensuring that all financial activities are transparent, accurate, and properly documented to meet statutory obligations.

**About you**

Experience working within Finance and budgetary services, experience with accounting systems, previous experience using MYOB preferred but not essential. Understanding of government accounting and finance systems and processes and a willingness to support the corporate services team.

**Special conditions**

Term vacancy up to 12 months
