Support Worker

**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Direct Client Support**:

- Provide physical support, including household tasks and personal care.
- Administer medication as required.
- Encourage and support the development of personal skills and independence.
- Attend to clients’ daily needs and ensure their safety and wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities and client progress.
- **Human Resources Support**:

- Assist with recruitment processes, including screening resumes and scheduling interviews.
- Support onboarding and training of new staff members.
- Maintain HR records and documentation.
- Assist with workforce planning and staff scheduling.
- **Compliance and Administration**:

- Ensure all services comply with NDIS Practice Standards and relevant legislation.
- Maintain up-to-date client and staff records.
- Support internal audits and compliance checks.
- Assist with the preparation of reports and documentation for regulatory bodies.
- **General Administration**:

- Manage office administration tasks, including data entry, filing, and correspondence.
- Coordinate meetings, take minutes, and follow up on action items.
- Provide reception and customer service support as needed.
- **Participant Engagement and Onsite Coordination**:

- Meet and greet participants onsite, ensuring a welcoming and supportive environment.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to service improvement initiatives.
- Act as a liaison between clients, families, and staff.
- **Company Management Support**:

- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencies.
- Advise management on best practices and emerging issues in disability services.
- Support special projects and initiatives as required.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- **Essential**:

- Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent.
- Australian Driver’s License and regular access to a vehicle.
- Ability to work night shifts and weekends as required.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- COVID-19 vaccination certificate or proof of vaccination.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- NDIS Training Certificate.
- Working with Children Check.
- Current National Police Certificate.
- Right to work in Australia.
- Willingness to work in a smoking environment (as required by client needs).
- Experience working with pets (desirable, as some clients have animals).
- **Preferred**:

- 12 months’ experience in a similar role (desirable but not essential).
- Experience in HR, compliance, or administration roles.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

**Job Type**:
Casual/Part-time

**Salary Range**:
$30.00 - $80.00 per hour (depending on role and responsibilities)

Schedule:

- Fixed shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- National Police Certificate (preferred)
- Driver Licence (preferred)
