Maintenance Technician

Jade Tiger Abalone (JTA) is focused on the direct delivery of Australian brand Jade Tiger Abalone from our in-house export facilities. JTA is HACCP certified and an AQIS registered establishment for the export of predominately live abalone direct to international and domestic customers.

**Opportunity**:
The primary role of this position is to fulfil the daily preventive maintenance at the Indented Head site to maintain the water and infrastructure requirements for production in order to maximize abalone growth, health and living conditions. This position requires employees to constantly maintain a clean and safe work environment. Other duties will be required on a regular basis as directed by their manager.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Preventative maintenance of pump house, generator, water valves and pipelines and other plant and equipment on site.
- Rectification of existing infrastructure and equipment based on site.
- Maintain all grow out tanks, nursery and processing equipment.
- Operate pumps and other equipment.
- Maintaining of grounds at Indented Head site.
- Assist with production as required.
- Perform any other related duties as may be required from time to time.

**Skills and Experience**:

- Forklift licence (Desirable not essential)
- EWP (Desirable not essential)
- Mechanical aptitude
- Good communication
- Must be physically fit, able to perform manual labour
- Good observational skills
- Welding Experience (Desirable not essential)
