**Operations Supervisor - Terrey Hills**

**ComfortDelGro** (**CDC**) is one of the largest private bus operators in New South Wales and nationally. **About the Role**:
Reporting to the Shift Manager and Depot Manager and being part of the CDC NSW Outer Metro Region 14, the Operations Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of bus services out of our Terrey Hills Depot (Forest Coach Lines). The role involves managing staff performance, shifts, rosters and ensuring that manpower and buses are allocated to fulfill the standards and requirements of Government and commercial contracts.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Monitor and maintain shift rosters and ensure drivers and buses are allocated prior to the commencement of shifts
- Ensure that services are delivered in a manner that allows CDC to meet its contractual KPIs
- Allocate buses and drivers to cover rail replacement and charter bookings ensuring correct management of fatigue and payroll processing
- Investigate Accidents/incidents by reviewing CCTV and other sources of information pertaining to the investigation
- Monitor the performance of staff and take disciplinary action as required to ensure staff are performing to expected standards
- Ensure all defects and/or mechanical issues with buses are reported via kiosk.
- Respond in a timely manner to requests from OCC regarding provision of drivers and buses relating to incidents
- Complete shift reports (including log sheets keyed into system) in a timely manner
- Communicate with the Depot Manager, or equivalent, about issues of the day and collaborate with counterparts at other sites to drive best practice across sites

**Job Specific Competencies**
- Hands-on experience in manpower/shift allocation
- Capable of interpreting company policies and procedures and reports
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities whilst delivering on agreed timelines
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills
- Experience in providing direction to staff in a positive and constructive manner
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to establish positive relationships and gain cooperation of staff, customers and internal / external stakeholders.

**About You**:

- Previous experience in leading, managing, shift allocating and optimizing resources
- Capable of being able to understand how the delivery of services impacts on contractual KPIs
- Capable of interpreting company policies and procedures and reports
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities whilst delivering on agreed timelines
- Experience in using computer systems to manage shifts and rosters
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Monitor and maintain shift rosters (Microsoft AX) and ensure drivers and buses are allocated prior to the commencement of shifts for the correct management of fatigue and payroll reporting.
- Ensure that yard staff are correctly fuelling buses and that fuel records are maintained in Data fuel and paper records. Ensure that fuel deliveries are monitored and liaise with the Workshop Clerk to ensure adequate supplies of fuel are available at the depot
- Allocate buses and drivers to cover rail replacement and charter bookings ensuring correct management of fatigue and payroll processing.
- Respond and make changes to drivers and buses allocation due to accidents, availability of buses and absenteeism in a timely manner.
- Ensure that overtime is equitably distributed amongst drivers by ensuring that the best return of paid resource time and assets for CDC is managed.
- Obtain Accident/incident CCTV and provide information pertaining to findings for Shift manager. Save CCTV to hard drive and maintain CCTV register
- Monitor the performance of staff and take disciplinary action as required to ensure staff are performing to expected standards

**Qualification and accreditations**:

- Advance level Microsoft Office skills
