**Job Title**: Transport Forklift Operator

**Job Summary**: The Transport Forklift Operator is responsible for operating forklifts to transport goods, materials, and products safely and efficiently within a warehouse, distribution center, or yard. This role ensures the proper loading, unloading, and movement of materials to designated areas, contributing to the smooth operation of supply chain activities.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Safely operate a forklift to move products, materials, and goods throughout the warehouse or distribution center.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, pallets, and shelves.
- Transport materials to and from various storage areas, ensuring proper placement and storage.
- Inspect the forklift before and after use, performing basic maintenance checks (e.g., checking fuel, oil, or battery levels, inspecting forks).
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to prevent accidents and improve efficiency.
- Forklift certification (OSHA or other relevant certification) required.
- Previous experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or similar environment preferred.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and safe forklift operation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle heavy materials.
- Good communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Basic mechanical knowledge of forklifts and maintenance procedures is a plus.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
- Ability to lift heavy items, typically ranging from 30 to 50 pounds or more, depending on the material.
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions (e.g., temperature fluctuations, dust, noise).

**Work Environment**:

- Warehouse, distribution center, or outdoor yard (depending on the facility).
- Regular exposure to moving vehicles, industrial equipment, and materials.
- Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions (if relevant to the role).

Pay: $33.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift

**Experience**:

- Manual handling: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Order Picking Forklift Licence (preferred)
- Forklift Licence (preferred)
- Driver Licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)
