**Classification**: Academic Level A **Salary package**:$80,914 - $101,560 per annum plus 17% superannuation **Terms**: Full Time, Fixed Term (up to 2 years) **Position overview** The position is offered in connection with the ARC Discovery Project grant "Feature Learning for High-dimensional Functional Time Series". The Postdoctoral Fellow will collaborate with the project central investigators Associate Professor Yanrong Yang (ANU and Professor Hanling Shang (Macquarie University) on research projects within the primary themes and topics of the project. As appropriate, these projects will also involve joint collaborations with Professor Degui Li (University of York, UK), Associate Professor Xinghao Qiao (The University of Hong Kong), Associate Professor Qingliang Fan (Chinese University of Hong Kong), and potentially other members of the research school such as Dr Terry Zhang. These themes and topics span but are not limited to functional data analysis, dimension reduction, high-dimensional data analysis, time series forecasting, heterogeneity learning, and random matrix theory. The research undertaken can range widely from the formulation of statistical theory and methodology, implementation and development of statistical software packages, and applied research in interdisciplinary areas especially in finance and economics As Australia's leading university, the ANU seeks to advance knowledge through internationally-leading research and teaching.
