Our Federal Government client is seeking a
**Project Officer** familiar with data entry protocols that can maintain attention to detail with the volume of data entry requirements.

**About the role**:

- Process recovery of banded birds and bats made by members of the public
- Assist with management of band stocks and supply of equipment to banders
- Assist with data loading into our database
- Assist with migration of paper-based bird & bat banding data to electronic format
- Assist with modernising the scheme’s suite of forms and website

**Ideally, you will have**:

- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the use of relational databases & spreadsheets
- Well-developed organisational and analytical skills
- Attention to detail and an ability to organise
- Ability to work to tight deadlines with limited supervision

**Desirable, but not essential**:

- Knowledge of Australian birds & bats and capture and marking techniques for these groups would be an advantage
