**About the role**
- Team Global Express is seeking a Leading Hand / Forklift Operator to commence at our Brisbane Airport Depot
- This is a Full time, Permanent role (6.30am Starts). Overtime is available and will be offered on a need by need basis.
- The successful applicant will be entitled to an appropriate weekly allowance
- Complete site inductions for new staff, including training and necessary introductions to key staff members they may be required to know. Ensure new staff has contact details of all required staff members at the depot.
- Provide drivers with training specific to delivery and pickup process, site rules, route planning, loading and optimization, safety, and scanner operation.
- Organize all drivers to maximize efficiency, vehicle utilization and productivity. Ensure successful delivery and collection of all freight. Any remaining freight needs to be organized for recovery run or second run, identifying common mis sorts and issues to be rectified with the operations team.
- Mitigate driver issues at floor level where possible, escalating as required to a supervisor.
- Unload and load vehicles and sort them appropriately and safely
- Scanning freight, freight sortation and re-palletising of freight
- Picking and preparing runs for following day
- Palletizing freight for travel where required
- Ensuring the correct movement and distribution of freight in a timely mannerGeneral depot housekeeping in between tasks or as required.

**What you’ll bring**
- You will hold a Current & Valid Forklift License (mandatory)
- You will be able to work as part of a team
- You will able to follow instructions and work autonomously where required
- You must have Full Rights to work in Australia
- You will have a high attention towards Safety
