Purchasing Officer

Our client, based in LAWSON NSW is a leading national supplier of glass doors for retail spaces, providing a wide range of products that offer distraction-free sight lines, clear displays, energy control and easy access.

They are currently seeking a Purchasing Officer to join their team permanently. You will ensure the efficient and accurate ordering of materials and consumables. This is a wonderful opportunity to join a wonderful team that prides themselves on quality products and exceptional customer service.

The role is based in LAWSON, in the Blue Mountains and is a permanent role, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm. (Flexibility can be offered on the hours)

**About the role**
- Maintaining and updating of item codes and SKU's;
- Placing of purchase orders;
- Following up suppliers and providers for ETA's
- Coordinating replenishment and reordering based on production planning
- Generating and coordinating cycle counts of inventory; and
- Maintaining constant and clear communication with Sales, Production and Operations Lead, and other team members to make sure commitments and targets are met within deadlines.

**Skills and experience**
- Purchasing experience preferred, but not essential as training will be provided;
- SAP experience preferred but not essential;
- Exceptional attention to detail;
- Experience working in a high volume and fast paced environment;
- Good communication skills;
- Organisational and time management skills;
- Good problem-solving skills.
