**About the role**

The Vocational Pathways Coordinator develops and manages programs such as apprenticeships, traineeships, and cadetships to build future workforce capability across Council. This role works closely with internal teams and external partners to create meaningful career pathways, while promoting community engagement and development.

In this role you have the chance to lead impactful initiatives in a values-driven organisation within Queensland’s fastest growing region.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

- Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of vocational employment programs, aligning them with organisational goals and workforce needs
- Create and manage program guidelines, policies, and procedures
- In collaboration with a Group Training Organisation (GTO), develop recruitment strategies, run campaigns, support onboarding, and oversee the management of trainees and apprentices
- Coordinate training and development activities with managers and trainers, delivering learning initiatives and addressing performance or behavioural issues as needed
- Promote vocational programs externally to attract participants and build community engagement

**About you**

To be successful in this role you will have:

- Considerable experience in recruitment strategy development and implementation, particularly in workforce planning, attracting, selecting, and onboarding students or trainees in collaboration with a GTO
- Proven ability to engage and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure the successful development and delivery of vocational programs
- Strong leadership and coordination skills
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to apprenticeships and traineeships
- Excellent communication and advocacy skills, with the ability to promote vocational programs internally and externally
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver training programs and workshops

This is a fixed term position until July 2026 with a salary commencing at $110,838 plus 12.5% superannuation.
