Maintenance Officer

**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
Mercy Place Ballarat is a purpose-built Small Household model Residential Aged Care facility providing accommodation for 112 elderly Residents. Mercy Place Ballarat opened in September 2018 in Ballarat East and the unique model of aged care has proven very popular for prospective residents, families, and staff.
- We currently have a full-time permanent vacancy for the critical role of facility Maintenance Officer. This role is responsible for maintenance and oversight of critical facility infrastructure, utilities, and systems including a programmed maintenance schedule and timely response to urgent maintenance tasks. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced commercial facility Maintenance professional in a dynamic and innovative team environment.

- Located onsite at Mercy Place Ballarat
- Responsible for on-going repairs and preventative maintenance of building, plant, equipment and furniture.
- Assist with identifying and actioning health and safety issues to provide a safe environment for residents, staff and visitors.

**ABOUT YOU**:
Trade based qualification or more than 3 years’ experience in a commercial maintenance position.
- Current Victorian driver’s license.
- Working knowledge of Work Health and Safety standards and regulatory maintenance frameworks relating to residential aged care.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
