Preserve and manage the urban trees within the City of Moreton Bay area Collaborating with an experienced crew leader and working within a small crew on various tree assignments, you'll be at the forefront of maintaining our city's valuable tree assets.
Your primary responsibility will be to ensure our urban trees remain healthy, safe and well maintained. Some of your tasks will include:
- tree maintenance through pruning and trimming
- lifting tree canopies to improve visibility and safety
- removing damaged or dangerous limbs
- clearing fallen branches and tree related debris
- operating equipment such as chainsaws and wood chippers
- performing other general tree labouring tasks
Your work will directly contribute to the health and safety of our urban trees within the area, making a tangible difference in our community's environment, appearance and safety.
Please note, this position is internally titled "Labourer Operations"
**About you**
Ideally you will have recent experience performing labouring tasks related to tree maintenance. We are seeking applicants who demonstrate:
- knowledge and physical capability to perform manual tasks safely
- recent experience in a manual position
- experience maintaining trees
- excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- a current truck licence (minimum MR - medium rigid)
- a Construction Induction Card
