Operator / Belt Picker

**About the role**:
Based at our InfraBuild Recycling Hemmant site, we are seeking Belt Pickers who will be responsible for picking and sorting of scrap metal from the conveyor.

We have day shift available, offering overtime paid at penalty rates.

Day shift - 6am - 2pm, Monday to Friday - $34.94 per hour

Full on the job training will be provided with excellent career progression opportunities

Your responsibilities will include:

- Pick and sort scrap metals from running conveyor belt
- Remove contaminants to maintain the quality of materials
- Monitor the conveyor belt speed and functionality
- Notify maintenance or supervisors of any mechanical issues
- Adhere to workplace safety procedures
- Maintain cleanliness in the yard and operational areas

Ideally you will have:

- Ability to learn how to quickly and accurately identify different types of metal
- Experience in scrap recycling, construction or manufacturing, advantageous
- Ability to work in a fast-paced yard environment
- A positive mindset with a general willingness to learn
- Passion for working as part of a collaborative team
