**The Role**
The APS 6 Business Support Officer works as part of the Recruiting Attraction team within Defence Force Recruiting (DFR) Headquarters and is accountable under limited direction to perform and achieve complex procedural, administrative and business support tasks in support of the Deputy Director Recruiting Attraction and the wider directorate. This role requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills as you work alongside APS, ADF and the Capability Partner to support DFR in delivering Defence capability.
The APS 6 will be involved in a wide range of tasks including, but not limited to:
- Working collaboratively in a team-based environment, building and sustaining relationships with team members and stakeholders.
- Providing information, guidance and assistance on Defence and Government policies including recordkeeping, travel, finance and other relevant policies.
- Using experience to interpret and draft documentation including correspondence, reports, briefs and ministerial submissions.
- Conducting minor procurement and providing oversight to and guidance on the directorate commitments register and budget.
- Developing and implementing procedural, operational, corporate, administrative and business support documentation consistent with business requirements.
