Dual Technician

**Reporting to**: Site Supervisor/Project Manager

**Primary function**
To complete electrical and communications work that is in line with the scope of work provided, work health safety provisions, and standard of workmanship.

**Duties and responsibilities**
- Assess and communicate a clear methodology for work activities.
- Take ownership of allocated tasks and duties.
- Provide clear tasks for each team member.
- Mentor and coach apprentices within their apprenticeship competencies.
- Manage client concerns and requirements on site.
- Use interpersonal skills to support a positive work culture.
- Assist the site supervisor to complete a schedule of work and coordinating the team to work within it.
- Communicate progress of works to the supervisor.
- Complete job documentation, such as worksheets, job completions.
- Ability to comprehensively follow the project managers and supervisor’s instructions
- Ability to read design drawings and specifications and follow on a job.
- Maintaining timesheets and tracking hours on the job.
- Assess and adhere to WHS on site.
- Contribute to the effectiveness of the HSEQ systems to ensure compliance, ongoing improvement, and customer focus throughout day-to-day work.
- Maintain a high level of workmanship on the worksite and ensuring the quality of workmanship of other technicians.
- Maintain technical knowledge and up to date on Electrical and Cabling regulations.
- Providing support and assistance in other facets of organisational operations as required and reasonably directed.
- Responsible for the company’s tools, equipment, and vehicles, by keeping them clean and in good proper working order.
- Conducting all work activities in a safe and efficient manner without putting self or other at risk, ensuring compliance with all safety obligations including licensing, training and the use of plant, tools, and equipment

**Essential criteria**
- Electrical License
- ACMA License with endorsements of Structured and Fibre Optics.
- Minimum 5 years of industry experience within the electrical and communications industry.
- Excellent safety awareness.
- Ability to problem-solve and complete work within a timely manner.
